For most of you, your wedding will be the most important day of your life to date, so making this decision will come with lots of questions. Below are some of the most common questions at The Kingscote Barn.

How do I get to The Kingscote Barn?

  • By Car – If using a sat nav the postcode is GL8 8YE – Make sure to follow the signs to Kingscote Barn, rather than Kingscote, as this will lead you into the village.
  • By Train – Our closest stations are:
    • Cam & Dursley (7.7 miles away) – for Birmingham/Gloucester/Bristol routes
    • Kemble (14 miles away)/ Stroud (8 miles away) – for London/Cheltenham routes

Is there parking available?

There is plenty of free on-site parking, please follow the signs to the visitor’s car parks.

Is there Electric Charging?

Yes we have 2 charging points. Located to the left hand side of the main car parks, upon arrival.

Is the venue wheelchair friendly?

The main barn is located on the ground floor and is wheelchair friendly. We also have a disabled bathroom on site. All areas (except the gallery) are accessible.  There is an accessible cloakroom near the kitchen. and we have designated step free bedrooms close to the barn, please ask upon booking if you require one of these.

What time should I arrive for the wedding?

You should aim to arrive 45 mins – 1hr maximum before the wedding ceremony. We normally try and seat guests 30 mins before the wedding ceremony.

When does the bar open?

The bar will open after the wedding ceremony. If you wish to have a drink or bite to eat prior to the wedding, we would recommend making arrangements locally in a nearby pub or restaurant. Payment of drinks can be made via card only. No alcohol or food can be brought into the venue, no exceptions. Kingscote Barn will charge the client automatically should this policy not be adhered too.

Can I bring confetti? 

Please do not bring your own confetti, the newlyweds will arrange this as we have particular requirements to preserve our beautiful barn and grounds.

Do you allow smoking on site?

Smoking Including e cigarettes are permitted on the grounds but not inside the barn or accommodation.  There are outdoor ashtrays for use at the reception door, courtyard and on the front terrace.

Are there any baby changing facilities? 

 There are baby changing facilities in the accessible bathroom near the kitchen. Please ask the catering team if you can’t find this.

I am bringing children to the wedding, is there anything I need to be aware of? 

Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult. The venue is surrounded by farm animals and some deep water lakes. Please respect the property and grounds at all times.

How do I inform you of my dietary requirements? 

The menu has been carefully chosen for you by the wedding couple. Please inform the couple directly of any dietary requirements you have at least one month before the wedding date. Should you fail to let the couple know of your dietary requirements we cannot guarantee that a suitable meal can be provided. If you are having a continental breakfast with us, please inform Kingscote Barn directly of any allergies or dietary requirements.

I have already booked a room, can I add a breakfast hamper to my reservation?

If you would like to add a Luxury Continental Breakfast hamper to your room, please contact us directly to let us know at least 1 week prior to the wedding. Our continental breakfast is charged at £11.00 per person.

What time can I check in to my accommodation?

Check in to our on-site accommodation is between 2-5pm. Please head to reception to collect your key.

I am arriving after 5pm, how do I check in?

Please let us know in advance if you are due to arrive after 5pm as we will arrange a late key collection for you.
